Tour de Yorkshire 2 – Cycle Race – Cropton village 2015
gc
Here we have a few more photos of the first day of the Tour de Yorkshire international cycle race. These images were taken as the cyclists pedalled very quickly through Cropton village on Friday 1st May 2015.
‘The Peleton’ was very closely bunched as they came through Cropton village.
The speed of these guys is amazing! Blink and you missed them!
‘The Peleton’ seem very tightly bunched together.
This group appears to include Sir Bradley Wiggins (red jersey – fourth from the left)? He has recently formed ‘Team Wiggins’ and this is the first race they have taken part in.

There seemed to be a lot of different teams in the race.

The last cyclists through, followed by a Police motorcycle escort.
Spectators also watched the huge number of support vehicles that were following the cyclists on the Tour de Yorkshire.

Many thanks to Brian Wright for contributing many of these Tour de Yorkshire Cropton photographs. Thank you to the organisers for bringing the race to Cropton – the cycling capital of North Yorkshire!
