Queen Elizabeth’s Gold Jubilee Celebration – 2002

Elizabeth Cornforth, in the centre of the photo, is flying the flag back in the year 2002. There was a village celebration for Queen Elizabeth’s Gold Jubilee in the garden of Mrs. Valerie Barnaby. Dick Feaster is the onlooker on the right. The other lady on the left is Sandie Reed.

Dorothy Berriman and her family have been residents of Cropton parish for a long time. She lived at Peat Rigg for many years before moving to a cottage at the outskirts of the village. She has seen massive changes in the village over the years.

Cropton village has been very fortunate to have many helpers with the village events. Here we have from left to right, Olga Aconley, Doris Gill, Joan Wood and Pauline Slaughter in the kitchen of the village hall before it was renovated.

Is this the picture of total concentration?  Richard Peacock is an handy indoor bowler indeed and he holds the current record score at the Cropton Bowling Club.

Jean & Dick Feaster celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary on 5th April 2008. Here is the Wedding Day photo back in 1958. They were married at St.Gregory’s Church, Cropton.
