Cropton Lodges (in Cropton Forest)
Cropton Lodges are positioned near the small village of Cropton, Pickering in North Yorkshire. Set deep in the heart of Cropton Forest, the log cabins are close to many trails in the surrounding woodland which are ideal for walking and cycling (cycle hire is available).

The park features self catering holiday lodge accommodation with an inviting outdoor hot tub to relax in. Choose lodges with one to three bedrooms, sleeping up to six guests. This is an excellent location for a relaxing break or active holiday in a lovely forest landscape. For more adventurous guests there are ranger-led walks, activities, archery and zip-wire (charges apply).
A small shop and cafe is on-site. The nearest petrol station, with a convenience store, is at Middleton (near Pickering) on the A170 road. Shopping is available at Pickering (market day – Monday) and Kirkbymoorside (market day – Wednesday). There are Co-op supermarkets in both towns and plenty of other shops. Lidl have a supermarket in Pickering.

The Cropton Lodges are a superb base for touring the attractions of the North York Moors. The moorland drive over to the popular seaside resort of Whitby is a very pleasant car journey indeed and not to be missed!

The North York Moors Steam Railway is 5 miles away in Pickering and a visit to the Yorkshire heritage coastline (Scarborough, Whitby & Filey) is around 25 miles away. Flamingo Land Theme Park & Zoo is a popular day out. A little further afield are the pleasures and attractions of the medieval city of York. A host of other visitor attractions are near to Cropton forest including a tour of the local brewery.
